EGGSTRAVAGANZA TO HELP WISH-KIDS

Face painting, carnival games, spot prizes and a giant inflatable maze will all be featured at Cadbury Easter Eggstravaganza, a free family event organised by Cadbury to support the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The event is open to the public and will take place on Saturday 19 March, between 10am and 4pm, at Auckland’s Okahu Bay Reserve. A Make-a-Wish family reunion, opening exclusively for the Make-a-Wish families to enjoy, will also be hosted on Friday 18.

As for Saturday’s event, by donating just $5 participants will in turn receive a treat of Cadbury chocolate eggs and a fun activity card to complete. All proceedings will go towards supporting Make-a-Wish, which is celebrating its 30th birthday this year.
“It’s rewarding for both of us and supporters to see the amazing successes of our wish-kids,” said Nick Redstone, funding development manager, Make-a-Wish. “We’re thankful to Cadbury for hosting this event and donating proceeds so we can continue to grant more wishes to children who spend a lot of time in and out of hospital.”
Thanks to similar events, held last year for the first time, Cadbury has helped raise a total of $15,000 for the foundation.
“To be able to spread some Easter cheer and facilitate a reunion for the very deserving families of Make-a-Wish is something we’re grateful to be a part of,” said James Kane, NZ country head of Cadbury.
