A security guard has been robbed at gunpoint this morning, outside a PAK'nSAVE Whakatane store. More than one person and at least one vehicle were allegedly involved.
An unconfirmed amount of cash was stolen, but no one was injured.
The incident occurred around 11am, and a number of witnesses were said to be at the scene. Police are appealing for anyone with information or photos to contact them on (07) 308 5255 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
