NOSH PLACED IN RECIEVERSHIP

Failing supermarket chain Nosh has been placed in receivership after months of speculation. Companies Office records show that Damien Grant and Steven Khov of Warterstone Insolvency have been named as receivers.

Grant has said that it is too early to comment on whether or not staff and suppliers will be paid, as the receivers are yet to conduct a stocktake of the business.

The Auckland and Matakana stores have been closed since May, ostensibly in preparation for a ‘re-launch’ on June 26. This re-opening was delayed until July 8, but that too failed to materialise.

The Nosh website lists the Glen Innes, Greenlane, Mt Eden and Matakana stores as “Closed for maintenance and re-stocking.”
