Tegel is serving up more delicious new free range products to Kiwi tables.
The new products are part of a $3 million investment in value and volume growth. This includes product and packaging innovation, extensive ATL & BTL brand support and a focus on bringing big brand appeal to the fast-growing free range poultry category, currently worth $39.4 million.
Led by strong category and shopper insight, Tegel is launching wholesome, convenient free range options made with 100 percent NZ-raised free range chicken.
Among the new products hitting shelves is Free Range Roast in the Bag (Rosemary & Garlic) which are no prep, no mess and priced in line with the existing Roast in the Bag range at an RRP of approximately $15.99. The Roast in the Bag line up is currently worth $5.4 million.
The second innovation is Free Range Meal Maker (Classic Sliced & Cracked Pepper Shredded). Both new flavours are priced in line with the current range with an RRP of approximately $10 per 250g pack. The Meal Maker range is currently worth $8 million and in massive growth, increasing by 16.4 percent*.
Also brand new is the Free Range Boxed Range (Panko & Quinoa Tenders, Salt & Pepper Morsels). This is Tegel’s first launch into free range in the boxed meal section of the freezer and both variants come in convenient 365g boxes.
Last but not least is the Free Range Bagged Range (Panko Tenders & Crunchy Burgers). They’re great for families, are delicious and easy to cook, and come in 740g-750g packs.
