New Fonterra CFO

New CFO for Fonterra

Fonterra Co-operative Group Ltd has announced the appointment of Andrew Murray as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

Murray began his career at Fonterra in early 2023 as the commercial director for Fonterra’s global markets business.

He is set to begin his new role as the CFO at the beginning of August this year.

Fonterra’s CEO, Miles Hurrell, spoke highly of Murray, stating he is a highly experienced senior finance leader with strong expertise in driving profitable growth and delivering a large-scale business transformation.

“Andrew has been a real asset to the Global Markets team, with an enterprise leadership mindset, and I welcome his appointment to the Fonterra Management Team,” said Hurrell.

Before joining Fonterra, Murray was the chief financial officer at Simplot Australia and spent more than ten years at Mondelez in various senior finance roles.

“I also extend my thanks to Simon Till, who has acted as the Chief Financial Officer since October 2023 while recruitment for a permanent CFO was underway,” said Hurrell.

Till will remain acting as the CFO until Murray steps into the role and then will move into a strategic advisor role at Fonterra.
