Catering to both novice and the time-poor baking expert, Hill St has made a booming business by simplifying and refining the bake process, so all you have to do is add a couple of wet ingredients for perfection every time. Each mix is free from all the over-processed additives - plus the majority are dairy-free and all vegan friendly.
Growing up with parents working in food distribution, Hill St founder, Nelson-born Eliana Glover learnt first hand the unique challenges and opportunities of the food production industry. That early awareness has obviously had a positive effect on the business, as her clean baking mixes are now found at over 160 stockists across New Zealand.
The idea for Hill St came from Glover noticing a gap in diet inclusive, allergen friendly baking mixes.
“With so many diets and food preferences out there, it can get pretty tricky (and expensive) to whip up some home baking that would keep everyone happy, I figured there had to be an easier way. So I launched Hill St to offer an alternative to the current offering. And as they say the proof is in the pudding!” said Glover.
Hill St now offers ten types of baking mixes including - Pancakes, Cacao Fudge Brownie, Choc Peanut Butter Afghan, Banana Bread, Seed Crackers, Choc Chip Cookies, plus the all new Bases in four flavours.
“With Bases our goal was to create a range that really pushed the boundaries of accessibility. Not only do they have an accessible price point, they have so many baking options to get really creative in the kitchen.
“And like all of our products, Bases have no additives or preservatives, in fact they contain nothing you wouldn't usually find in your pantry."
