Allowing consumers to select a meal online and order all the ingredients with a single mouse click, Foodstuffs has introduced shoppable recipes through its New World stores.
Using widget technology from tech company Northfork, Foodstuffs was able to introduce the service, which it believes helps shoppers with meal planning and boosts sales for both its stores and brands.
“This is a key strategic initiative that will inspire New World customers to discover new recipes and enjoy the weekly shop like never before,” said Pippa Prain, head of marketing and customer experience at New World
Shoppers can add all the ingredients from each recipe to their cart in a single click, speeding the online shopping process.
“Plus, they can see all the nutritional information and how much each recipe is estimated to cost – so shoppers can manage their budget even easier,” said Prain.
“We’re committed to delivering inspiring solutions, awesome experiences, and fair value every day to our customers. Shoppable recipes and meal planning help deliver on all three of these commitments.”
Northfork co-founder Erik Wallin said the company’s partnership with Foodstuffs proved extremely effective, despite the companies being on opposite sides of the world.
The two companies are now exploring further technology solutions for Foodstuffs’ store networks.
