Ormiston has a brand-new PAK’nSAVE store. The 6,160 sqm supermarket, which just opened its doors, is considered to be a major step towards the development of the future town centre. When finally completed, the new urban village will provide the community with useful services and amenities, including eateries, innovative working spaces, housing and retail outlets.
“The opening of the supermarket signals an important step in the wider transformation of the council-owned land,” said Allan Young, director at Panuku Development.
PAK’nSAVE Ormiston, owned and operated by the David Hannan and his family of five, will create 130 new jobs. “We have a fresh bakery, butchery, deli and seafood counter, plus a large range of fresh food and grocery products,” said Hannan.
