Paneton’s French classics will be available in Countdown stores across the country from December 8th. The Ready-to-Bake Croissant, Pain au Chocolat, Almond Croissant, Cinnamon Swirl and Mixed Pastries will all be found in the freezer.
Established in 1986 by French pastry chef Dominique Colombie and his wife Celia Elder, Paneton began first as La Tarterie on Auckland’s Khyber Pass. Paneton is still run by the couple who remain focused on offering premium breads and pastries crafted using the artisanal qualities of authentic French baking techniques.
“Over almost four decades our passion to bring authentic French baking to the homes of New Zealanders using the traditional handcrafted techniques handed down to Dominique by his father, combined with the quality of fresh New Zealand produce has remained unwavering. It was our love for French baking that started our enterprise back in 1986, and to share our passion with all New Zealanders brings us great joy. To be able to offer the unique character of Paneton’s handcrafted pastries across the country just in time for the holiday season ahead, as well as future milestones and entertaining needs is a dream come true,” said Celia Elder, co-founder, Paneton Bakery.
