PEPSICO SPAIN TURNS TOWARDS HEALTH

PepsiCo Spain has revealed the brands progress in making their products more health conscious as part of its ‘Results with Responsibility’ campaign. The initiative was implemented as consumer trends turn more towards health-focused food and beverages.

Under the initiative, PepsiCo has already successfully seen a dramatic reduction in the number of saturated fats, sugars and salts used in their products. Brands 7Up and Mountain Dew now contain 30 to 40 per cent less sugar; Ruffles, Doritos and Fritos have seen the drastic reduction of 72 per cent in saturated fats due to a switch from palm oil with sunflower oil and Lay’s Mediterranean chips now contain 20 per cent less salt.

To help promote a more health-conscious lifestyle in Spain, PepsiCo also introduced new products such as; Sunbites Multigrain Snacks, Quaker Oats, Pepsi Max zero sugar and Mountain Dew no sugar.
