Police were called to seven different retailers in Auckland overnight due to reports of burglary, ram raids and window smashing. A commercial property in Henderson, a liquor store in Mission Bay, a pizza store in Highland Park, vape store in Mt Wellington, scooter store in Grey Lynn, retail block in Cockle Bay and vape store in Mt Albert were all the businesses hit.
These incidents follow the apprehension of eight burglars aged between 13 and 17 in the early hours of Tuesday morning. A group of five forced entry into three retail stores in Pukekohe while three more individuals ram-raided a Papatoetoe dairy.
