As announced earlier this week, First Union is targeting all New World supermarkets that are reluctant to sign a collective agreement.
The union will stage a picket outside New World Albany store this Saturday from 12 pm to 2 pm, and is requesting the local community to show its support either by attending the picket or sending owner Jamie Eden a direct message, asking for fair wages and reasonable working conditions. Meanwhile, an inflatable rat has been placed outside the building.
