Villa Maria has received the Champion Producer of the Show, two varietal trophies and 12 gold medals across several wine varietal categories and vintages at The Spiegelau International Wine Competition 2015.
With Champion Rosé Trophy and Sweet Wine Trophy, Villa Maria also adds multiple gold medals across Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon to its tally of wins.
“It’s a great night out when our North and South Island winemaking and viticulture teams can walk away with a trophy each. That teamed with a good spread of varietal golds and vintages is a great reinforcement our wines are hitting the mark across the board,” said Villa Maria’s Group Chief Winemaker Nick Picone.
