Whittakers has produced a special edition Creamy Milk (Miraka Kirīmi) block to celebrate Māori Language Week (Te Wiki o te Reo Māori), which runs from 12 to 18 September.
The 33 percent Cocoa Creamy Milk Chocolate bar has printed a label in celebration of Māori Language Week since 2020. However, it has previously only been available in limited quantities. This is the first time it will be available in supermarkets nationwide.
"We are delighted to extend our celebration this year by making our limited edition Miraka Kirīmi label more widely available, as well as through a number of other staff initiatives," said Matt Whittaker, Co-Chief Operating Officer.
The block was available in stores from yesterday, but it will be for a limited time only.
"We're pleased to take part in this week of celebration to help revitalise te Reo Māori, and we hope that Whittaker's Chocolate Lovers will enjoy sharing a block of Miraka Kirīmi with their friends and whānau."
