The Ministry of Primary Industries has created an updated notice for Overseas Market Access Requirements (OMAR) for New Zealand grape wine exporters that must be adhered to. The new notice has specifications about how the new requirements must be met.
These changes apply to all New Zealand grape wine exporters who export to Great Britain and the European Union.
Sections adjusted include 1.1 (2), where there is a new guidance box, and clarification for Northern Ireland, including a statement clarifying when the UK and GB are used within the OMAR. It also Includes information on EU retained regulations.
Further sections adjusted are 1.2, where there is an added incorporation by reference clause and document list, 1.3 (1), where there is a list of removed definitions that aren’t applicable to this new notice. And an Amended definition for grape must and official assurance (previously the export certificate), 1.3 (2), which includes added clarification of other sources of definitions. Finally, sections 2.1 to 2.7 show new clauses and adjusted text to reflect Great Britain's export requirements and New Zealand to United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement.
