Big news for residents of Paerata Rise, a new development near Pukekohe, as Woolworths will open its newest store there early next year.
The new 3,600m2 store will be built to meet the needs of the community with a modern look and feel, an extensive fresh foods section, an in-store bakery, and a direct-to-boot facility for online customers to pick up their orders.
Woolworths Director Property Matt Grainger and Chris Johnston from developer Grafton Downs got on the tools to raise a billboard with the news at the entrance to this fast-growing new suburb.
The team looked forward to seeing the store open and welcoming the people of the local community.
“This is a really exciting moment for Paerata Rise. The start of construction on Woolworths Paerata Rise signals the beginning of a larger commercial centre that’s been designed with the community in mind,” said Grafton Downs, Executive Director Chris Johnston.
“As someone who both represents the development and lives locally in Paerata Rise, it’s great to see this progress happening now for residents and future generations.”
Matthew Grainger, Woolworths New Zealand Director of Property, added that the Woolworths team was excited to bring a new state-of-the-art supermarket to the fast-growing community at Paerata Rise.
“Our experience elsewhere is that a new supermarket can be a game-changer for a growing community, enabling a new level of convenience for local residents, and acting as a catalyst to attract other new shops and services to the area.”
