A Glow-Up Of Sweet, Buttery, Nutty Goodness

Snickers, Butterscotch, Mars Wrigley, New Flavour

The humble SNICKERS has just gotten one almighty glow-up with the introduction of SNICKERS  Butterscotch Flavour, a sweet, buttery, nutty creation from the team at Mars Wrigley.

The new product is packed with roasted peanuts, chewy caramel and a slab of butterscotch-flavoured nougat that delivers notes of caramelised brown sugar for a rich and creamy epic new  SNICKERS experience.

The recipe was formulated and manufactured in Australia at the company’s Ballarat-based  Innovation Hub, marking the second locally developed SNICKERS flavour variant since Mars  Wrigley returned the production of SNICKERS to Australia last year after investing more than  AUD 100million in new technology and factory upgrades to shore up the local production of the brand.

Butterscotch is a globally trending flavour gaining more and more desirability, with a 19 percent increase in social media discussions about the decadently buttery sweet flavour over the last 12  months.

SNICKERS Portfolio Director Richard Weisinger said the new flavour variant combines the flavour powerhouse combo of chocolate and caramel with much-loved butterscotch.

“Butterscotch is proving incredibly popular with consumers, particularly when paired with chocolate and caramel. This makes it a decadently sweet and irresistible flavour variant for the  SNICKERS brand and the perfect little indulgence,” shared Weisinger.

“After significant investment in our SNICKERS manufacturing capabilities over the last few years,  we’ve delivered locally-made consumer-led production innovation that reflects the tastes, preferences and desires of our Aussie consumers.”

Weisinger continued that SNICKERS Butterscotch Flavour is a fan-favourite amongst SNICKERS lovers, and he anticipates it will be popular across the country.

SNICKERS Butterscotch Flavour is available now via leading supermarkets, independent retailers and convenience stores.
