MANUKA DOCTOR

New Zealand based company, Manuka Doctor, approached industry and government bodies with concerns about the lack of a standard definition for "raw" honey. They believed that the absence of a clear definition left consumers uncertain about what they were getting and exposed the industry to negative consequences.

To address this issue, Manuka Doctor sought out an organisation that provided certification with a systems-based approach to establish a standard. The result was the C.L.E.A.N. & R.A.W. food certification, which includes three critical elements: "Real", "Alive", and "Whole".

Manuka Doctor is now proud to be the only honey company globally to carry the R.A.W. Certification mark. The certification ensures that the honey is 100 percent safe, has all non-GMO ingredients, is alive with a high level of bioavailability, and is whole with a high level of organic ingredients and an ANDI nutrient score.

With new labels rolling onto retailer shelves, Manuka Doctor's commitment to providing high-quality, certified honey will help consumers make informed decisions and ensure the honey industry in New Zealand continues to thrive.
