Leading Global Trade Fair Tapping Into Food Innovation

Anuga EIT 2023

The leading global trade fair for food and beverages has tapped into the extensive know-how of Europe's top initiative for food innovations.

EIT Food, the world's largest and most dynamic initiative for food innovations, has newly partnered with Anuga, in line with Anuga’s key theme of sustainable growth.

This partnership is aimed to promote and create a dialogue and interdisciplinary cooperation to achieve a sustainable, circular food system.

Anuga and EIT Food have planned to create a platform for innovative ideas and new sustainable developments in the food industry. To achieve this, both have sought out the most critical players from the industry and fields of politics and business together at Anuga in Cologne from 7 to 11 October 2023.

"We are delighted to have the experts of EIT Food and its network on board in the scope of this new, strategic partnership,” said Bastian Mingers, Vice President of Food at Anuga.

Mingers elaborated that at the global trade fair event, new methods towards an improved global food system will be highlighted through various formats, giving opportunities for engagement through direct exchanges with an international trade audience and the trade media.

Doctor Andy Zynga, CEO of EIT Food, added that EIT Food was pleased to work closely with Anuga, in addition to the company’s partnership with Anuga Horizon.

“The goal of the food community is clear: only together will we build an innovative and resilient food system, which is integral in driving greater food security and a healthier planet,” said Zynga.

Zyna emphasised that this could only be achieved through new ideas, solutions and collaboration within the industry, for which Anuga offers a fantastic opportunity.

Key points included within the new partnership will mean Anuga and EIT will have a professional exchange and knowledge transfer, joint development of the conference and event programme of Anuga with panel discussions, workshops and speakers, and joint press events in the run-up to and during Anuga.
