Exciting Events During Sweet Week

As Sweet Week 2024 approaches, ISM and ProSweets Cologne are gearing up for their co-staged event from January 28 to 31 at Koelnmesse. With over 1,400 exhibitors expected from more than 70 countries, the anticipation is growing in the international sweets and snacks industry.

The overarching theme for ISM 2024 is Encourage. Enable. Excite! Central to the event will address climate, raw materials, energy, supply chains, logistics, health, and digitalisation challenges.

Sabine Schommer, Director of ISM, shared her excitement about ISM 2024, especially the activities on the Expert Stage. This central point will host various events, including panel discussions, best practices, and presentations showcasing efficient and sustainable solutions from the industry.

"Beyond this, on the Expert Stage, together with ProSweets Cologne, we are emphasising aspects from the supplier industry," said Schommer.

The Expert Stage hub will showcase new sweets and snacks industry developments during Sweet Week. It will have engaging lectures, panel discussions, and presentations, including insights into innovative product ideas from international start-ups, will take place here. Daily trend presentations by ISM knowledge partners Innova Market Insights and Euromonitor will explore the 'Food and Beverage Top Ten Trends' and the evolution of snacking in response to social changes.

Sweet Trends, organised with Innova Market Insights, will provide information on new product trends and developments in sweets and snacks. Trend presentations on the Expert Stage will offer initial insights into the new products showcased at the trade fair.

ProSweets Cologne 2024 will focus on themes of origin and sustainable procurement in response to the sustainability debate. Special shows on Packaging and Ingredients will demonstrate innovative solutions for industry challenges. Daily Guided Tours on Sustainability and Sweets Global Network, Guided Tours on Innovations and Sustainability, will provide additional insights.

ProSweets Cologne will also feature a legendary party with live music, drinks, and snacks for exhibitors and visitors. Guido Hentschke, Director of ProSweets Cologne, highlighted the close interlinking with ISM, offering ISM trade visitors free admission to ProSweets to enhance the spectrum of themes in the sweets and snacks industry.
