UK | Aldi has invested a further GBP 100 million to cut the price of 330 products, helping to support families through the school holidays.
Shoppers at Britain’s biggest discounter can now enjoy even lower prices across everyday essentials, including fresh and frozen food, cupboard staples, household essentials and personal care products.
These latest cuts mean that Aldi has reduced the prices of over 1,000 products so far this year, representing a total investment of GBP 300m to keep grocery bills as low as possible.
“It’s never been more important that everyday grocery essentials and family favourites remain affordable," said Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK.
"We’re committed to keeping prices low on popular products because we know it can make a real difference, helping families to make the most of the summer.”
Aldi has been named Which? Cheapest Supermarket for five years running and for eight consecutive months, even when competitors’ loyalty prices are included.
Aldi was also recently named ‘Best Value Brand of the Year’ by Which?, recognising its outstanding value and high-quality products.
As part of Aldi’s wider commitment to supporting families, the supermarket recently announced the return of its Summer Support Scheme, giving away GBP 50 vouchers to families every day throughout July and August.
