UK | Two global dessert sensations collide as Aldi launches a UK supermarket-first – the new Dubai Chocolate Style Mochi.
Following the explosive popularity of the #DubaiChocolate phenomenon (over half a million TikTok videos) and the enduring Japanese mochi obsession (4.6 million Instagram tags), Aldi’s latest innovation promises to be a guaranteed hit.
Joining the supermarket’s fan-favourite mochi line-up, each decadent piece features soft pistachio ice cream, crunchy Kataifi pastry and a sweet cocoa rice dough – perfect for an after-dinner treat or summer indulgence.
This viral combination arrives as the country craves cool treats, evidenced by Aldi’s soaring ice cream sales – up 25 percent year-on-year, with over 20 million sold in one week alone.
Last month, Aldi’s Dubai Chocolate Bar sparked a frenzy, with fans on Aldi Shoppers UK declaring it “absolutely amazing” and that they “love it.”
With no limit on the number of bars shoppers can buy, the indulgent Dubai-inspired bar featured layers of rich pistachio cream and crunchy kadayif pastry, enveloped in silky milk chocolate. The luxury treat offered a blend of creamy sweetness, nutty richness, and delicate crunch.
In April, ALDI also launched the moreish Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream, which combines decadent chocolate with sweet, nutty pistachio to create a deliciously crunchy, wafer-like ice-cream tub.
Aldi’s new Dubai Chocolate Style Mochi is available in stores from the 14th of July, while stocks last.
