With environmental issues at the forefront of many customers minds, brands are being driven towards greener initiatives to appeal to the eco-friendly consumer.
English tea brand Clipper has announced the launch of an eco-friendly, plant-based alternative to teabags which are fully biodegradable. The new packaging will replace the use of polypropylene plastic seals with a blend of abac from a variety of bananas. Clippers claim this environmentally friendly tea bag alternative is a world first and are excited for the launch of the new range.
Following a brief transition period, the new eco-conscious product will be distributed in major supermarkets across the country, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.
