USA - After more than 150 years of showing up side by side, HEINZ and Heineken have finally made it official.
Introducing the HEINZ x Heineken limited edition six-pack: five Heineken beers and one bottle of HEINZ Tomato Ketchup.
Simple on the surface, but rooted in something familiar: how people come together around food and shared moments.
In a LinkedIn post, The Kraft Heinz Company shared that its partnership with The HEINEKEN Company was a great example of how the business has been showing up where culture is happening and finding new ways to connect with consumers across markets.
“After 150 years, it's time to make the relationship official,” said Todd Kaplan, Chief Marketing Officer, North America at The Kraft Heinz Company.
“HEINZ and Heineken have been at the same parties for generations. Backyard BBQs. Sports watch parties. Restaurants. Summer gatherings with family and friends. So now we are making it official.”
Kaplan added that this was a great reminder that some of the best ideas aren’t about creating new behaviours, but they’re about celebrating the ones that have been a part of consumers' lives for generations.
