COLES INCREASE MILK PRICE TO SUPPORT FARMERS

Coles supermarket has followed Woolworths and increased the price of milk by 30 cents. 100 percent of the profits will go towards supporting Australia’s drought-affected farmers. So far, the supermarket chain has pledged upwards of 11 million dollars to help Australian farmers who are affected by the country’s ongoing lack of rain.

The price increase will continue in all of the Coles supermarket stores until the end of the year with all profits from the increase going to the National Farmers’ Federation 2018 Drought Relief Fund. This latest announcement is in addition to Coles previous fundraising appeals and grants.
