President of China Merchants Loscam, Sirin Limpaitoon has been appointed as the vice chairman of Asia Pallet System Federation (APSF), the professional organisation of the Asia pallet industry. Established in 2006, the federation includes 11 Asian countries and aims to increase logistics efficiency and promote trade exchange in the area.
“Standardisation is critical in the modern supply chain, and a standardised pallet sets the foundation for further standardisation in the logistics supply chain,” said Limpaitoon. He joined Loscam in 1995 as the company’s country manager in Thailand, before assuming the role executive vice president Asia in 2010 and president of the group in 2015.
“In Asia, Loscam has been actively engaged in the development of the logistics supply chain for more than 20 years,” Limpaitoon said. “We work with major stakeholders in the FMCG and retail industry, as well as relevant government organisations to develop industry standardisation with the objective of optimising supply chain efficiency and lowering total logistics costs.”
