The A2 Milk Company has issued legal proceedings against beverage giant Lion for using the statement ‘naturally contains A2 protein’ on its Pura and Dairy Farmers milk products. Apart from A2 milk, in fact, all milk products sold in Australia contain both the A1 and A2 protein; according to the A2 Milk Company, such a statement would mislead consumers into thinking that Lion’s products are different than their competitors.
