Czech Republic | Tesco has taken the initiative to reduce prices across its entire assortment of products produced in its bakeries throughout the Czech Republic. This move makes Tesco the first to implement such a reduction, with an average price decrease of 10 percent.
Pavol Halász, the product director of Tesco for the Czech Republic, emphasised the company's commitment to providing excellent bakery products at affordable prices to benefit customers. Reducing prices is part of Tesco's strategy to continually enhance its products' quality while offering customers cost savings. Products with lower prices are distinctly marked yellow in stores.
The bakery products, crafted by Tesco's bakers using unique recipes, are available in almost fifty stores across the Czech Republic. Customers visiting these stores have diverse sweet and savoury pastries, including cakes, doughnuts, rolls, buns, bread, baguettes, and more. With Christmas approaching, the bakery menu also features famous Christmas cakes, including the renowned butter cake with raisins.
Pavol Halász said that Tesco was committed to providing customers with a wide array of freshly baked products, and the price reduction is a proactive step to make these offerings more accessible to shoppers.
