Germany | As part of a sales campaign for Coca-Cola drinks in all Lidl stores from November 27th, Lidl and Coca-Cola are donating 200,000 euros to food banks in Germany.

The umbrella organisation wants to use the donation amount to thank volunteers in the form of small celebrations and to recruit new volunteers. The joint campaign by Lidl and Coca-Cola for the food bank is taking place for the fourth time in a row.

“Together with Coca-Cola, we would like to thank the around 60,000 Tafel activists throughout Germany for their valuable time this year. Through their active commitment, they have contributed to equal opportunities in society for 30 years. We are also making a significant commitment to this within our joint sustainability strategy,” said Jan Bock, CEO of Lidl Service GmbH and Co.KG.

Lidl and the food banks in Germany have had a close, trusting collaboration for 15 years. Lidl's ongoing commitment to the Tafel includes, among other things, food donations.
