Australia and New Zealand have just signed their first Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA), a formal agreement between customs agencies. The deal is set to deliver mutual benefits in terms of international supply chain security and trade facilitation. Up to 13 percent of NZ import volume to Australia ($3 billion) will be facilitated, as well as $7.5 billion of Australian exports.
