Canada's supermarket giant Loblaws launched a plant-based Canadian thanksgiving range in honour of the holiday. The launch was in collaboration with celebrity chef and owner of La Palma, Craig Harding.
The latest line was in response to the growing number of Canadians seeking to purchase plant-based foods. The retailer said that an estimated 38 percent of local consumers want to incorporate plant-based food into their diets but are unsure where to begin.
"Our expanded line-up of President's Choice products that are meat and dairy-free will help make plant-based eating easier and more delicious than ever, particularly this holiday weekend" Loblaw's vice president of product development and innovation, Kathlyne Ross said.
