WOULD YOU BUY RAW MEAT FROM A VENDING MACHINE?

A Paris-based butcher has installed an automatic raw meat vending machine outside his shop. The refrigerated machine—selling steak, ham, chicken and pork chops—operates 24 hours a day, providing an additional service when the butchery is closed, especially for Parisians working late.
It is actually the fifth to be installed in France and followed an increasing European trend towards automatic machines. Pontarlier and Paris already have their own cheese distributor and baguette vending machine, respectively, and Germany is said to have ‘hundreds’ of them. Not everyone sees it as a positive change, fearing that it might harm the social life of communities and force small shops to shut down.
