TEXAS | America's favourite potato chip brand has planned to transport fans to various locations through Lay’s flavour.
Lay's has invited foodies on a culinary voyage by releasing its new Global Flavours lineup, featuring three potato chip flavours inspired by abroad.
Lay's Wavy Tzatziki, Lay's Masala and Lay's Honey Butter flavours, inspired by Greece, India and Korea, will hit store shelves in the U.S. this month for a limited time. This will help fans experience the tastes of these countries without stepping on a plane.
The refreshing Greek flavours of yogurt, lemon, dill, garlic, and other unique elements inspired Lay's Wavy Tzatziki-flavoured potato chips. They result in a crunchy take on the creamy Mediterranean classic.
Lay's masala-flavoured potato chips contain a delectable fusion of spices, including cumin, coriander, turmeric, and pepper. They are a one-way ticket to the world of mouthwatering flavours in traditional Masala dishes.
Lay's Honey Butter-flavoured potato chips deliver a delicious blend of buttermilk, honey, and butter tastes, transporting consumers to Korea.
"Our fans often post about the fun flavours they see while travelling abroad and continuously ask for them here. Now, at the height of travel season, we're excited to make those dreams a reality and bring them adventure through every bite of our Global Flavours lineup," said Tina Mahal, senior vice president of marketing PepsiCo Foods North America.
"As the proven leader in flavour innovation with more than 200 variations of our iconic potato chip, we're proud to continue demonstrating our expertise in crafting delicious flavours that appeal to the unique senses and tastes of communities worldwide."
For those interested in taking their journey of flavour exploration a step further and seeing these international destinations, Lay's has also offered one lucky fan and their guest the chance to win a trip to one of the flavour origin countries, India, Korea or Greece.
The flavours inspired by tastes from Greece, India, and Korea are available at retailers for a limited time while supplies last.
