New Discount Supermarket Chain in France

As the cost of living rises, a new discount supermarket chain is opening its doors in France. Toujust will sell mostly private-label products and will open its first store in Alès, Gard. The company plans to open stores on the outskirts of medium-sized towns and have at least 50 sites open by the end of the year. Each store will be around 1,000 square metres and offer 7,500 SKUs. The supermarket aims to reduce costs by working directly with producers and farmers to eliminate the middle man.
