Strategic Partnership Between Ausnutria & Royal A-ware

EUROPE | Ausnutria and Royal A-ware have recently entered into an agreement under which Royal A-ware will acquire a 35 percent stake in Amalthea, a producer of goat’s cheese, other goat’s dairy products and organic cow’s cheese.

As part of the partnership, Royal A-ware will focus on the marketing of goat’s cheese and organic goat’s cheese. Ausnutria will remain responsible for the processing of high-quality whey proteins, a key ingredient in baby food.

In addition, both parties will jointly invest in the further development and expansion of Amalthea’s cheese factory in response to the growing demand for goat’s cheese both at home and abroad.

The partnership aligned with the shared ambition to optimally utilise all components of goat’s milk. Royal A‑ware has brought extensive market knowledge and commercial clout in the cheese market, whilst Ausnutria has specialised in high-quality nutritional applications.

By combining this complementary expertise, a stronger and more stable supply chain has been created, with scope for sustainable growth.

“We are delighted to further expand our existing partnership in this way. Demand for goat’s milk products is growing, and this step enables us to offer our customers an even broader product portfolio,” said Jan Anker, Chairman of the Board at Royal A‑ware.

“At the same time, we remain fully committed to the production of (organic) goat’s cheese, in which we also see further growth opportunities. Moreover, the partnership aligns well with our strategy towards more integrated supply chains, where market demand is the starting point: here too, we are creating the shortest route from consumer to farm.”

Bart van der Meer, Executive Director of Ausnutria, was also positive about this development and said that the collaboration fit seamlessly with the company’s strategic direction and will contribute to a future-proof goat dairy supply chain.
