UK | Yoplait has created a range of yoghurts inspired by K-pop Demon Hunters, Netflix’s most popular film, hitting shelves during the category-critical back-to-school period.
Frubes will be headlining the K-Pop Demon Hunters collaboration, followed by a brand-new chocolate dessert and a strawberry drinking yoghurt featuring fan favourite characters.
For a limited time only, all three Frubes flavour packs will feature characters, including Rumi, Zoey, Mira and Jinu. Each Frubes tube will feature a different character and fun facts.
Back of pack includes a fun card collection that fans can match and swap with friends. Lastly, a special surprise awaits the lucky fans who find Derpy Tiger in their packs.
“K-Pop Demon Hunters is a huge collaboration for Yoplait, and for the kids’ yoghurt and dessert category, the most popular movie on Netflix is joining forces with the number one brand in kids’ yoghurt,” said Antoine Hours, General Manager for Yoplait UK.
“We’re confident that our K-PopDemon Hunters range will resonate with kids and families, and drive excitement in the yoghurt and dessert category across stores in the UK.”
As with the existing kids’ range, the new products are also fortified with calcium and vitamin D, supporting Yoplait’s ambition to bring new shoppers into the category while helping families grow healthy bones through enriched dairy consumption.
The new K-Pop Demon Hunters chocolate desserts will be joining the desserts category, currently worth GBP 3.8 million. They are made with almost 80 percent whole milk, Fair Trade-certified cocoa, and are HFSS-compliant, making them a permissible treat.
K-Pop Demon Hunters strawberry drinking yoghurt comes in 180g bottles and features four different designs featuring favourite film characters.
Kids’ portable occasions have become the fastest growing segment of the yoghurt category, growing at 9.5 percent year-on-year.
“Back-to-school is the biggest moment in the year for kids’ yoghurts, and being able to bring the phenomenon that is K-Pop Demon Hunters to lunchboxes, snacks, and dinner time is going to get playgrounds buzzing.”
Frubes K-Pop Demon Hunters will launch on the 15th of August across all flavours and in all major grocers, Ocado and Iceland; Chocolate Dessert from the 9th of September in Tesco, Iceland and Morrisons and Strawberry drinking yoghurt will launch from the 14th of September in Tesco and Iceland.
