Countdown has announced that following the impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle that all of their stores are open nationwide.
As of Friday, 17th of February, Countdown stores across the country have welcomed customers through their doors, including Countdown Napier and Gisborne.
“We’re extremely grateful for our customer’s patience and understanding as we work to recover from this devastating weather event,” said a Spokesperson for Countdown.
Stores in Napier, Gisborne, and Hawkes Bay have received deliveries of essentials, and teams across each region are working hard to stock shelves as quickly as possible.
In partnership with Napier food rescue, Nourished for Nil, Countdown has delivered four pallets of supplies, including water, to supply essentials to communities most vulnerable and affected. The further stock has also been secured for evacuation centres in Hawkes Bay and Gisborne.
Countdown has committed a further $200,000 in support of Kiwis affected by Cyclone Gabrielle and has stated that they will continue to work closely with the National Emergency Agency to provide help wherever possible.
