Better Beer Coming to New Zealand

Kiwi beer drinkers will soon be able to get their hands on an Aussie-favourite following an agreement between DB Breweries, Mighty Craft and Better Beer to distribute Better Beer Zero Carb Lager in New Zealand.

The Better Beer brand was born on Sydney’s South Coast as a collaboration with Matt Ford and Jack Steele from The Inspired Unemployed, a popular satirical Instagram account run by two ex-tradies that boasts over 1 million followers. Better Beer Zero Carb is a refreshing lager with only 87 calories per can that in the words of Matt and Jack is the “crispiest beer in the world”.

“Kiwis are increasingly making better decisions about alcohol based on their lifestyle, with demand soaring for products with lower carbohydrates and lower alcohol. The Better Beer brand aligns really well with these trends and has taken a fresh approach in Australia to really disrupt the category there, so we look forward to introducing the brand to Kiwi consumers as an exciting new addition to our portfolio," said Fraser Shrimpton, Marketing Director at DB Breweries.

Expected to launch this side of the ditch in October 2022, Better Beer Zero Carb will initially be manufactured in Australia and sold into New Zealand.
