Dolly Parton – Cook Like a Rockstar Series

Dolly Parton baking mixes new range additions

USA | Country music icon Dolly Parton extends her culinary reach beyond the stage into our kitchens. Collaborating with Duncan Hines, she has introduced an array of baking mixes, adding a delightful touch to the supermarket shelf.

This "Cook Like a Rockstar Series," an extension of her existing line, has become a notable addition. The range includes Chocolate Cake Mix, Yellow Cake Mix, Cinnamon Crumb Cake Mix, Blueberry Muffin Mix, and Banana Nut Muffin Mix.

"It's like having kids. They're all my favourites. It just depends on the time of day, what kind of mood I'm in, and what my tastebuds are calling for," said Parton.

Breaking into new territory, Parton is also venturing into the breakfast category for the first time. Duncan Hines' parent company, Conagra, is set to release Parton's Buttermilk Pancake Mix later this year.

Parton's culinary journey is a personal venture and a shared experience with her fans. The "Cook Like a Rockstar Series" has found favour among many, including Parton's husband, Carl Dean Thomas. Parton noted, "My husband's a big chocolate fan, so I'm always cooking him chocolate."

As Duncan Hines and Conagra continue to expand their collaboration with Dolly Parton, the supermarket aisle transforms into a stage where culinary enthusiasts can access a slice of Parton's kitchen charisma. The breakfast-inspired mixes feature blueberry muffins or bread, buttermilk pancakes, banana nut muffins or bread, and cinnamon coffee cake or muffins. All products add a dash of Parton's down-home comfort cuisine to the supermarket experience.

The collaboration doesn't stop at baking mixes. In a statement, Conagra Brands revealed plans for a broader partnership that includes "frozen, refrigerated, grocery, and snack items inspired by down-home comfort cuisine." While the specifics are yet to be unveiled, retailers' anticipation for these additions is building.

In a statement, Parton expressed her excitement about the expansion, stating, "I loved co-creating my Duncan Hines line with Conagra, and I'm thrilled we're going well beyond the baking aisle with new items across the store.

"We're looking to continue to inspire special moments in the kitchen with some of my family's favourite recipes, and I think people will love them!"

The supermarket shelves in the USA will soon host these new mixes, with frozen and refrigerated items entering the market later in the year.

As Dolly Parton's culinary presence expands, the supermarket becomes more than just a place to shop for ingredients – it transforms into a hub of inspiration where fans can connect with the legendary artist through the shared joy of cooking.
