EX-FONTERRA CEO CRAIG NORGATE DIES

CRAIG Norgate, the inaugural chief executive of Fonterra Cooperative Group has died in London.
Born in 1965 in Taranaki, Norgate had a career as CEO of dairy companies Kiwi Co-operative Dairies and Fonterra Co-operative Group, before consolidating the rural servicing industry through PGG Wrightson.
Most recently he had responsibility for overseeing the merger of Chartered Accountants Australia with its New Zealand counterpart.
Norgate was  a big rugby fan and was at one time on the board of the Taranaki Rugby Union, he was New Zealand's first CEO on a million dollar salary.
