FRESH HOPS FOR NEW WORLD FESTIVAL

Six of New Zealand’s most popular brewers have created a new collection of fresh hop craft brews for New World.

“Our first experience of a special fresh hops collection went so well last year we’ve decided to double our money and bank on 2019 being even more successful,” said Terry Vaa on behalf of New World.  “We’re working with master brewers at Sawmill, Garage Project, Behemoth, Panhead, Liberty and Parrotdog to bring beer fans the freshest brews possible in our Fresh Hop Fest.”

The project requires a real commitment from all parts of the business, from the hop growers, brewers and liquor managers in each store, through to the supply chain chilled experts.

“From the moment our selected brewers pick their hops and rush them to their breweries, to the instant the cans and bottles are delivered and placed in the beer chiller, everyone has a personal responsibility to ensure the precious ingredients and resulting product are kept in premium condition.”

Sawmill is new to the collection this year – and the team is super excited to extend one of their renowned brews throughout New Zealand as part of the New World Fresh Hops project. “Once a year we get an opportunity to use fresh hops from Motueka. Our Fresh Hopped White IPA (6.2%) is crammed with Nelson Sauvin hops and Belgian Witbier yeast. Notes of tropical fruit and spicy grape ensure connoisseurs can enjoy a highly refreshing and interesting take on a fresh hop beer. We’re looking forward to seeing how New World customers respond to this special brew,” said Scott Sharp-Heward, Sawmill lead brewer.

The six brews are:

  • Sawmill – Sawmill Fresh Hopped White IPA
  • Liberty – Liberty Invictus Fresh Hop Pale Ale
  • Garage Project – Garage Project Chill Hop
  • Behemoth – Behemoth So Fresh, So Mean - Fresh Hop Double IPA
  • Panhead – Panhead Redlined Vines Brut IPA
  • Parrotdog – Parrotdog Tracey Fresh Hop Hazy
