The global chaga mushroom-based product market is expected to be valued at US$87 billion by the end of 2033. It has a CAGR of 11.9 percent over the next ten years. Chaga, or Inonotus obliquus is a parasitic fungus that grows on birch trees in colder climates. It is a medicinal mushroom and contains a number of unique natural substances. Its therapeutic uses are what have contributed to the market growth.

Considered a superfood, the mushroom contains immune boosters and high levels of antioxidants. Growth is currently being seen in sports nutrition supplements. Canada and Germany are expected to have the most noticeable market increases.

“Rising popularity of herbal medicines and increasing preference for gut-healthy & organic products are projected to bolster the sales of chaga mushroom-based products over the coming years,” said an analyst from Fact.MR.
