HANS Riegel, the man at Haribo in Germany who came up with the company’s signature line of gummi bears, has died aged 90. He was the son of Haribo’s founder who set up the company in 1920. Interestingly, the name Haribo comes from Hans Riegel Bonn, the founder’s name as well.
