The Packaging Forum has elected Andrew Hewett as its new chairman along with his role as chair of the Public Place Recycling Scheme. Hewett is head of Communications as Coca-Cola Amatil. Alastair Sayers, packaging manager at Frucor Beverages has been appointed chairman of the Glass Packaging Forum’s steering committee.
This month, the organisation will launch the first drop of of recycling bins at participating New World, Pak’nSave, Countdown and The Warehouse sites in Auckland allowing shoppers to recycle a wide range of soft plastic packaging such as bread bags, frozen food bags, confectionery wraps, past and rice bags, toilet paper packaging and so on.
