Fonterra Oceania’s acclaimed Kāpiti cheese, celebrated as New Zealand’s most-awarded cheese, has officially launched in Aldi stores across Australia for a limited time.
Known for its artisanal craftsmanship and premium quality, Kāpiti has been handmade at Fonterra’s Bridge Street site in Eltham, New Zealand, where master cheesemakers blend tradition with innovation to create specialty cheeses loved by many.
The limited-edition Aldi range features three standout varieties, perfect for the festive season.
Kāpiti's Kikorangi Blue has been renowned for its creamy texture and bold, tangy taste, which have won the cheese many international awards. Among these is the iconic Kikorangi Blue, a multi-award-winning cheese.
“We’re thrilled to bring the rich, bold flavours of Kāpiti cheese to Australia just in time for the holiday season,” said Cathy Lang, award-winning Kāpiti cheesemaker.
“Each variety has been carefully selected to elevate any Christmas gathering, whether it’s a family feast or a festive cheeseboard.”
Available now in Aldi stores, the exclusive range includes:
Pakari Aged Cheddar: Known for its rich, sharp flavour and crumbly texture, this cheese has been aged to perfection, allowing its taste to shine. It is a versatile addition to any cheeseboard, paired with various foods.
Kānuka Havarti Smoked: This cheese stands out with its unique smoky aroma, complemented by a creamy, smooth texture and a subtle sweetness.
Kikorangi Blue: Renowned for its creamy texture and bold, tangy taste, this blue cheese has a gourmet touch.
Kāpiti has been one of Fonterra Oceania’s hero brands in New Zealand. Since its formation earlier this year, the business has leveraged the strength of its brands to test, grow, and expand into new markets.
The arrival of Kāpiti cheese in Aldi has been part of Fonterra Oceania’s strategy to showcase the best Australian and New Zealand dairy globally.
Fonterra Oceania’s internationally renowned Kāpiti cheese is now available at Australian Aldi stores nationwide for a limited time.
