After three days of blind-tasting by an independent judging panel, Panhead’s Port Road Pilsner has been named the Supreme Champion at the 2026 New World Beer & Cider Awards.
Port Road Pilsner took the top spot from more than 650 beers and ciders across New Zealand with its balance, flavour and drinkability.
As a snappy, modern pilsner with bright citrus passionfruit hops and a clean, crackery malt base, Port Road Pilsner was a strong testament to the beer Panhead has been brewing for 13 years as the most awarded one in the lineup.
For the Panhead team, this win celebrated the production team’s efforts and was one they could be really proud of. Having recently updated their branding, the team hoped that craft beer lovers would get out and try this much-loved brew for themselves.
