Breweries of all sizes have until tomorrow to enter the 2016 New World Beer & Cider Awards, a celebration of great beer and cider from New Zealand and around the world. The best brewers will compete across 13 categories, with the 'Best in Class' winners securing a spot on 137 New World stores' shelves.
Chair of independent judges, Michael Donaldson, explained that the awards – unlike other beer competitions – are focused on the consumer. "The presentation of results will help New World customers navigate the increasingly complex beer world, allowing them to make informed choices," Donaldson said.
To be promoted in New World supermarkets availability is a key criterion, therefore entrants need to have enough stock available. Entries will be blind-judged on their qualities, balance and drinkability; gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded, along with a 13 'Best in Class' prizes — one for each category.
Entries to the competition close tomorrow, January 27. For more information, visit New World Beer & Cider Awards now.
