ALL AUCKLANDERS CAN RECYCLE

Additional 53 Countdown stores in Auckland have just joined the soft plastics recycling programme, bringing the total number to 63. Launched in November, the initiative has now Auckland fully covered by Countdown, Pak’nSave, New World and The Warehouse, being on track with its goal of involving 70 percent of New Zealand over the next two years. Wellington will be next.

"This is a step change for Auckland, and we are anticipating a significant uptake in collection volumes as Countdown customers begin to notice the bins popping up and the programme continues to grow in popularity," said Lyn Mayes, project manager for the Soft Plastics Recycling Programme.
