The Energy Excellence Awards are focused on recognising excellence across the broader energy sector for activities over the past twelve to twenty-four months. Ten awards are presented, including the customer-focused Energy Retailer of the Year Award.
Z General Manager Customer Andy Baird said that being recognised as a finalist was a testament to all those across Z who focus on providing top-quality service and products to keep New Zealand motorists moving.
“We’re proud that our commitment to New Zealand’s transition to a low carbon future has been cited within the selection process as we look at ways we can help our customers in their transition journey,” said Baird.
In recognising Z, judges for the Energy Excellence Awards referenced Z’s expanding EV charging network rollout, commitment to digital solutions enabling a faster refuelling experience, the ability to pre-purchase fuel for a virtual fuel tank and the recent 100 percent ownership of Flick Electric as Z expands into the retail electricity market.
Irwin Munro, General Manager from Freeman, which runs the Awards, said that the calibre of the finalists in the coveted Energy Retailer of the Year Award once again demonstrated the commitment energy retailers are placing on putting their customers first and improving the outcomes for Aotearoa New Zealand.
“It is great to see Z’s ongoing focus on making this a reality for their customers,” said Munro.
In 2022, Z was privileged to win the Well-being Category at the Awards. We have continued to focus on what we can do better in service to our customers, which significantly acknowledges that commitment in action.
