Woolworths NZ has announced the return of the popular YouTube steamer, Mr Beast, and his Mr Beast Feastables chocolate bar range on supermarket shelves. According to Woolworths NZ category manager for confectionery Alan Kwok, these chocolate bars were a customer favourite when the supermarket last had them in stock.
“Last time we were in stock, we sold a few hundred thousand bars without marketing or fanfare. It’s all smiles for customers who could get their hands on it,” said Kwok.
Ponsonby Store Manager Daniel Barker stated that the store was receiving many customer enquiries from customers enquiring when the range would be back on shelves.
Mr Beast Feastables’ hero flavour, Deez Nuts, has been a leading consumer favourite, with Kwok theorising that its popularity could be attributed to its flavour profile or the uniqueness of the name.
These chocolates are crafts with limited ingredients. The Feastables Original Chocolate is plant-based but has only a remarkable four ingredients: cane sugar, organic cocoa mass, organic cocoa butter, and a sunflower lecithin emulsifier.
For a standard chocolate block, there are generally over eight ingredients.
Supplier Zebra International shared that New Zealand was the second country, after the United Kingdom, to get the product out of the United States and onto supermarket shelves.
